About Laurie Calcagino, MSN, RN

Calcagino has spent her entire 13-year career at TGH Crystal River, starting on a medical/surgical unit and then “floating” to other units. She came into the quality aspect of nursing as a cores measures coordinator, was promoted to quality director in 2017, and then to her current role in 2019.

As CQO, Calcagino manages the day-to-day operations of risk management, infection control, medical staff services, and stroke/sepsis. Calcagino and her staff of seven make sure that the hospital is following all rules and regulations, handle the required reporting to regulatory entities, and look for trends in the data they generate to mitigate any patient safety issues.
